Carrick Hill is the name of a beautiful Tudor mansion in Springfield, Adelaide, sitting on sprawling hectares of spectacular English gardens. Once the home of one of the oldest families in Adelaide, it is now heritage listed and open to the public.
I fell under the spell of Carrick Hill at first sight. There is an aura of romance to its beauty, evocative of a bygone era of old world elegance and charm.
In thinking of a name for this journal, my imagination wandered freely in search of imageries of beauty, character, nobility, charm and all that adds to my subconscious mind’s picture of an inspired life.
I found it in the poetic romance of Carrick Hill.
